SnowPro Advanced: Administrator (ADA-C02) Certification Training Course

Upon completing Accumentum’s SnowPro Advanced: Administrator (ADA-C02) Certification Training Course, you will be prepared to schedule the official Snowflake ADA-C02 exam ($375 per attempt). The SnowPro Advanced: Administrator Certification validates advanced knowledge and skills used to apply comprehensive data cloud administrative principles using Snowflake and its components.

Snowflake lists the ADA-C02 exam at 65 questions in 115 minutes. Question types are multiple select, multiple choice and interactive. The exam is offered in English, and you can take it online with a proctor or at a testing center.

The passing score is 750 on a scaled score from 0 to 1000. Snowflake notes that an exam may include unscored items used to gather statistics. They aren't marked, they don't count toward your score, and Snowflake builds in extra time for them.

The published domain weights are 1.0 Snowflake Security, RBAC, and User Administration (31%), 2.0 Account Management & Data Governance (18%), 3.0 Data and Object Management (15%), 4.0 Performance Monitoring & Tuning (20%), 5.0 Data Sharing and Snowflake Marketplace (7%), 6.0 Disaster Recovery, Backup & Data Replication (9%).

Registration is $375 per attempt. Snowflake lists SnowPro Core certification as a prerequisite for this exam.

Administrator fits the people who own a Snowflake account: platform administrators, database administrators and data platform engineers who handle roles, governance, cost and recovery. For a pay reference, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics puts the May 2025 median annual wage for database administrators and architects at $126,760. That is a national midpoint, and location, experience and employer all move it. Source: BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook.

Paying on your own? This course is eligible for PathPay, our monthly payment plan. Terms of 3, 4 and 6 months carry no added fee. 9, 12 and 18 month terms add 5%, 10% and 15%. Questions about funding or class dates? Email info@accumentum.net.

Snowflake describes the SnowPro Advanced: Administrator exam as one that tests your ability to manage and administer Snowflake accounts, data security, and governance, manage and maintain database objects and virtual warehouses, perform database monitoring, tuning, and optimization, perform data sharing and use the Snowflake Marketplace and implement disaster recovery, perform backups, and replicate data. Those are Snowflake's own words, and our lessons are built around each of them.

On the candidate side, Snowflake says: 2 or more years of hands-on experience with Snowflake as an Administrator in a production environment. In addition, successful candidates may have fluency with ANSI and Snowflake advanced SQL. If you're short of that, tell us before class and we'll suggest where to start.

The $375 fee is the standard U.S. price. Snowflake charges $300 for candidates testing in India, and the fee applies to every attempt, retakes included. Snowflake doesn't offer free retakes or discounted retakes.

Snowflake allows a maximum of four attempts at the same exam within any 12 months. You also have to wait 7 days between attempts, even before your first retake.

You can reschedule up to 24 hours before a test center appointment, or any time before an online appointment. Snowflake caps reschedules at four, and after that you cancel and register again. Miss your slot and you lose the fee or voucher.

Snowflake delivers exams through Pearson VUE, either online with OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE center. Online, you use your own computer, webcam and a stable connection, and you can't leave for a break. At a center you can step out, though exam time keeps counting. Test aids aren't allowed in either setting. Bring an unexpired government-issued photo ID with a signature that exactly matches the name on your certification account.

After you submit, your score report shows up in your Pearson VUE account and lists the objectives that may need more review. Snowflake uses scaled scoring so results stay consistent across exam forms. Pass, and Accredible emails your digital badge within 5 business days.

Snowflake recommends a mix of hands-on experience, expert-led training and self-study for ADA-C02. The items it lists for this exam are Administering Snowflake Training and SnowPro Practice Exam: Administrator. Snowflake's practice exams cost $50 and run 65 minutes. They follow the live exam's domain weights, there's no pass or fail, and the report shows where you missed questions. You have 24 hours from purchase to start one, and the timer can't be paused.

Our study plan follows Snowflake's weights so your time goes where the points are. Class opens with domain 1.0, Snowflake Security, RBAC, and User Administration, which is 31% of the exam. Then we move to Account Management & Data Governance, worth 18%. After that we take Data and Object Management, worth 15%. We then cover Performance Monitoring & Tuning, worth 20%. Then we work through Data Sharing and Snowflake Marketplace, worth 7%. We close with Disaster Recovery, Backup & Data Replication, worth 9%. Every domain wraps with practice items written to the blueprint, then we go over the misses together.

Renewal works through Snowflake's Continuing Education program. You can renew SnowPro Advanced: Administrator by completing one eligible Snowflake expert-led course or by earning an equivalent or higher-level SnowPro certification. Either one extends the credential two years from the completion or pass date, and it has to happen on or before your expiration date. Only ILT courses completed after June 9, 2025 count. For this certification, Snowflake lists these certification options: SnowPro Advanced: Administrator, SnowPro Advanced: Architect, SnowPro Advanced: Data Analyst, SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer, SnowPro Advanced: Data Scientist, SnowPro Advanced: Security Engineer and SnowPro Advanced: MLOps Engineer. The eligible ILT courses it lists are Administering Snowflake, Administering Snowflake II, Snowflake Advanced, Snowflake Architect and Snowflake Security Training.
