SnowPro Core (COF-C03) Certification Training Course

Upon completing Accumentum’s SnowPro Core (COF-C03) Certification Training Course, you will be prepared to schedule the official Snowflake COF-C03 exam ($175 per attempt). The SnowPro Core Certification validates practical, hands-on experience with the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.

Snowflake lists the COF-C03 exam at 100 questions in 115 minutes. Question types are multiple select and multiple choice. The exam is offered in English, Japanese, Korean, French and Spanish, and you can take it online with a proctor or at a testing center.

The passing score is 750 on a scaled score from 0 to 1000. Snowflake notes that an exam may include unscored items used to gather statistics. They aren't marked, they don't count toward your score, and Snowflake builds in extra time for them.

The published domain weights are 1.0 Snowflake AI Data Cloud Features & Architecture (31%), 2.0 Account Management and Data Governance (20%), 3.0 Data Loading, Unloading, and Connectivity (18%), 4.0 Performance Optimization, Querying, and Transformation (21%), 5.0 Data Collaboration (10%).

Registration is $175 per attempt. Snowflake lists no prerequisites for this exam.

Core is the entry point to the SnowPro track. It suits data engineers, analysts, administrators and developers who work in Snowflake every week and want proof of that, and it is the prerequisite for every SnowPro Advanced exam. For a pay reference, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics puts the May 2025 median annual wage for database administrators and architects at $126,760. Snowflake describes the SnowPro Core exam as one that tests your ability to use the Snowflake AI Data Cloud architecture, manage Snowflake accounts and virtual warehouses, perform data loading, unloading, and transformation, use structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, monitor and optimize performance, enable data collaboration and protection and establish Snowflake connectivity. On the candidate side, Snowflake says: 6 or more months of experience using Snowflake. If you're short of that, tell us before class and we'll suggest where to start.

The $175 fee is the standard U.S. price. Snowflake charges $140 for candidates testing in India, and the fee applies to every attempt, retakes included. Snowflake doesn't offer free retakes or discounted retakes.

Snowflake allows a maximum of four attempts at the same exam within any 12 months. You also have to wait 7 days between attempts, even before your first retake.

Need to move your date? Snowflake allows rescheduling until 24 hours before a test center slot, and until the start time for an online exam, up to four times. A no-show forfeits the fee or voucher, so put the date somewhere you'll see it.

Snowflake delivers exams through Pearson VUE, either online with OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE center. Online, you use your own computer, webcam and a stable connection, and you can't leave for a break. At a center you can step out, though exam time keeps counting. Test aids aren't allowed in either setting. Bring an unexpired government-issued photo ID with a signature that exactly matches the name on your certification account.

After you submit, your score report shows up in your Pearson VUE account and lists the objectives that may need more review. Snowflake uses scaled scoring so results stay consistent across exam forms. Pass, and Accredible emails your digital badge within 5 business days.

Snowflake recommends a mix of hands-on experience, expert-led training and self-study for COF-C03. The items it lists for this exam are Snowflake Fundamentals, SnowPro Core Certification On-Demand Preparation Course and SnowPro Practice Exam: Core. The practice exam is unproctored, costs $50, runs 65 minutes with at least 30 to 40 questions, and has to be started within 24 hours of buying it. It mirrors the live exam's domain weights but doesn't give a pass or fail.

Our study plan follows Snowflake's weights so your time goes where the points are. We open with domain 1.0, Snowflake AI Data Cloud Features & Architecture, which is 31% of the exam. Then we move to Account Management and Data Governance, worth 20%. After that we take Data Loading, Unloading, and Connectivity, worth 18%. We then cover Performance Optimization, Querying, and Transformation, worth 21%. Last is Data Collaboration, worth 10%. Every domain wraps with practice items written to the blueprint, then we go over the misses together.

Renewal works through Snowflake's Continuing Education program. You can renew SnowPro Core by completing one eligible Snowflake expert-led course or by earning an equivalent or higher-level SnowPro certification. Either one extends the credential two years from the completion or pass date, and it has to happen on or before your expiration date. Only ILT courses completed after June 9, 2025 count. For this certification, Snowflake lists these certification options: SnowPro Core, SnowPro Specialty: Gen AI, SnowPro Specialty: Native Apps, SnowPro Specialty: Snowpark, SnowPro Advanced: Administrator, SnowPro Advanced: Architect, SnowPro Advanced: Data Analyst, SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer, SnowPro Advanced: Data Scientist and SnowPro Advanced: MLOps Engineer. The eligible ILT courses it lists are Administering Snowflake, Administering Snowflake II, Snowflake Advanced, Snowflake Advanced Analytics, Snowflake Architect, Snowflake Data Analyst, Snowflake Data Engineer, Snowflake Data Engineer II, Snowflake Data Governance, Snowflake Data Science, Snowflake Gen AI, Snowflake Native App Framework, Snowflake Performance Automation and Tuning (3 Day), Snowflake Python Data Engineering, Snowflake Security Training, Snowflake Snowpark Application Developer, Snowflake Snowpark Container Services and Snowflake Snowpark DataFrame Programming.
