Army Credentialing Assistance pays for credential training and exams for eligible enlisted Soldiers and warrant officers. The money has to go to an Army CA approved vendor, and Accumentum is one. So you can take your Security+, CCNA, CISSP, PMP or SHRM-CP course with us and use CA to pay for it once the Army approves your request.

Confirm eligibility and current policy
Check ArmyIgnitED for your eligibility, the funding limit and the 45 to 90 day window. First-time CA users complete the Army decision support tool and CA counseling before they can set a goal.

Choose a credential listed on Army COOL. It can be tied to your MOS or to the job you want after you get out.

Get your quote kit from Accumentum
Email info@accumentum.net with your name, the course and your target dates. We send a separate custom quote for each thing you'll request: the course, the exam and any books. Do this before you submit your credential goal.

Submit the CA request in ArmyIgnitED
Select Accumentum as your vendor, make sure your course shows under our name, and upload the matching quote. Submit each request 45 to 90 days before the start date. Your supervisor then has 5 days to approve it.

Train, test and report
Start only after the Central Billing Office confirms funding. We upload your course grade within 30 days of the end date. If your exam result comes from CompTIA or Pearson VUE, you upload that one yourself.

Army CA rules change, and fiscal year 2027 starts October 1, 2026. Check ArmyIgnitED before you pick a course, submit a request or book an exam.
Funding Cap$2,000 per fiscal year, one credential a year and no more than three in 10 years, per the Army's benefits site. Aviation credentials are capped at $1,000. All of it depends on available funds.
Request TimingAt least 45 and no more than 90 days before the start date, under AR 621-5. The course, the exam and books are separate requests.
Approval WorkflowYour supervisor or the commander's representative has 5 days to approve. After that, ArmyIgnitED deletes the request.
No ReimbursementDon't prepay while a request is pending. The Army won't pay you back, and starting before funding is verified can leave you owing the full cost.
