Where CND can take you.
CND fits network administrators, network security engineers, security analysts and SOC staff who defend networks day to day.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the median annual wage for network and computer systems administrators was $99,130 in May 2025. That figure is a national midpoint. How CND training works.
EC-Council says more than 50% of the CND course is hands-on labs, with 100+ labs that simulate a real-time environment. The program follows a Protect, Detect, Respond and Predict approach, and EC-Council lists five training days.
Here's how we group the modules in class. Modules 1 to 4 cover attacks, defense strategy, administrative and technical controls, and the perimeter. Modules 5 to 10 cover endpoints on Windows, Linux, mobile and IoT, then application and data security. Modules 11 to 15 cover virtual, cloud and wireless networks, then traffic and log monitoring. Modules 16 to 20 cover incident response, continuity, risk, attack surface analysis and threat intelligence.
The CND exam gives you 100 questions in 4 hours, which works out to about 2.4 minutes a question. We time our practice sets to that pace, then go back over every miss so you know why the right answer is right.
