Most people pay for IT certification training one of four ways: in full, through a monthly payment plan, through employer tuition assistance, or through a military funding program such as Army Credentialing Assistance or Air Force COOL. If you have funding available, get it approved before you pay anything, because military programs and most employers won't reimburse you after the fact. If you don't, a payment plan lets you start now and spread the course cost over a few months.

How does a course payment plan work?
Our PathPay® plan is tied to one course. You pick an eligible course and a 3, 4, 6, 9, 12 or 18-month term, and course access opens once the first payment clears. The rest bills automatically each month to a card on file.
The 3 to 6-month terms cost the base course price with no premium. Longer terms add a premium of 5 percent at 9 months, 10 percent at 12 months and 15 percent at 18 months. Most plans let you pay off the balance early with no penalty.
PathPay is a payment plan. It isn't a loan and it isn't insurance. Exam vouchers are usually separate unless the course offer says it includes one.
Is there a plan that includes the exam voucher?
Yes. The PathPay 12-Month Program covers 12 specific courses, each with the exam voucher included, paid in 12 equal payments.

Can the military pay for my certification training?
Often, yes, but the military decides, not the training provider. Our funding page sums up what each program covers.
Army Credentialing Assistance provides up to $2,000 per fiscal year for one credential for eligible Soldiers. Requests go through ArmyIgnitED and Army COOL. Our funding page notes that officers are ineligible under AR 621-5, effective March 19, 2026.
Air Force COOL provides a maximum of $4,500 over your lifetime for eligible Air and Space professionals. That's a lifetime cap, not a yearly one.
Accumentum doesn't approve Credentialing Assistance or AF COOL. The Army and the Department of the Air Force decide eligibility and payment. Don't pay out of pocket expecting to be reimbursed. Get the approval first, then train and test.
I also want to be straight about the GI Bill. Don't assume it covers our courses. Ask us first.
How do I use employer tuition assistance?
Ask your manager or HR what they need before you enroll. Most programs want a quote, a course description or a receipt in a specific format. We can send a quote or the voucher paperwork your funding office asks for. Email info@accumentum.net or use our contact page.
What if my training is already funded?
Then you probably don't need PathPay at all. Our Fund, Pass, Lock page says it plainly: if you're using Army CA, Air Force COOL or employer tuition, skip PathPay and start with PathPass® for exam practice. PathPass costs $19 a month for one exam or $39 for all banks, and it has no dumps.
