Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer® (CDPSE®) Certification Training Course
Build privacy into the systems, data flows, and applications you work on. Accumentum prepares technical privacy and security professionals for ISACA’s Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) exam.
Put privacy by design into practice in real systems.
The Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer® (CDPSE®) Certification Training Course with Accumentum prepares you to design and implement privacy solutions. ISACA says CDPSE validates expertise in building privacy by design into existing and future systems, networks, and applications.
ISACA reports that more than 16,000 people have earned CDPSE since it launched in 2020, and it lists an average annual salary of US$150K+ for holders. It is the technical side of privacy, built for the people who design and run the controls.
The ten modules follow ISACA’s four CDPSE exam domains: Privacy Governance (20%), Privacy Risk Management and Compliance (18%), Data Life Cycle Management (23%), and Privacy Engineering (39%).
Sessions stay practical: where personal data lives, how it flows, which controls protect it, and how you show compliance with evidence to back it up.
Build CDPSE exam readiness and practical privacy engineering skills.
Govern privacy
Apply privacy principles, laws, and documentation, and run privacy operations from vendor management to data subject requests.
Manage privacy risk
Run privacy impact assessments, respond to privacy threats, and produce evidence for privacy frameworks.
Manage the data life cycle
Inventory and classify personal data, limit its use, and handle retention, transfer, and destruction.
Engineer privacy controls
Apply security and privacy controls such as encryption, identity, consent tagging, anonymization, and privacy enhancing technologies.
Who Should Attend
- Engineers, architects, and developers who build systems that handle personal data.
- Security professionals who support privacy programs.
- Data governance and data management professionals.
- Privacy professionals who want a technical, hands-on credential to pair with policy knowledge.
Prerequisites
- ISACA says the CDPSE exam is open to anyone. You can take the exam before you meet the experience requirement.
- To certify, ISACA requires at least three years of cumulative work experience performing CDPSE tasks across the CDPSE domains, gained within the 10 years before you apply. ISACA lists no experience waivers for CDPSE.
- The course assumes working knowledge of IT systems, networking, and security basics.
- Training does not replace ISACA’s certification requirements. After passing the exam you must still apply to ISACA and meet its ethics and CPE rules.
The CDPSE training course covers all four ISACA domains across ten modules.
Every module opens with the exam domain it maps to, so you can see how the pieces fit together across the course.

CDPSE Exam Readiness
Accumentum’s CDPSE course prepares you to govern, assess, and engineer privacy across all four ISACA domains.

ISACA’s Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certification validates expertise in building privacy by design into systems, networks, and applications. ISACA reports more than 16,000 holders since it launched in 2020.
The CDPSE exam has 120 multiple-choice questions and runs 3.5 hours. It covers four domains: Privacy Governance (20%), Privacy Risk Management and Compliance (18%), Data Life Cycle Management (23%), and Privacy Engineering (39%).
Exams are computer-based and taken at PSI testing centers or through remote proctoring. After you register, you have six months to take the exam.
To become certified you must pass the exam, show at least three years of CDPSE work experience, apply within five years of passing, pay ISACA’s application processing fee, and follow ISACA’s Code of Professional Ethics and CPE policy. Certified holders report at least 120 CPE hours every three years, with at least 20 hours each year.
