If you're navigating through the maze of technology certifications, you know it's not just about earning them but also keeping them current. Today, we'll delve into the renewal requirements for certifications from some of the top vendors under Accumentum's umbrella, including AWS, Cisco, CompTIA, EC-Council, ISACA, and the Project Management Institute (PMI). This guide aims to be your go-to resource for maintaining your competitive edge in the tech world.

Renewal Requirements:
- AWS certifications need to be renewed every 2 years.
- You can renew by either:
- Passing the recertification exam for your current certification level.
- Earning a higher-level certification in the same track, which automatically recertifies your lower-level certifications.
- For instance, passing the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional exam would renew your Associate-level certification in that track.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- CCNA and CCNP certifications are valid for three years.
- To renew:
- You can pass a current version of the certification exam or any higher-level Cisco exam.
- Alternatively, earn CE credits through Cisco's Continuing Education program, which includes attending training, conferences, or contributing to Cisco's community platforms.

CompTIA A+
- CompTIA certifications like A+, Network+, and Security+ are valid for three years.
- Renewal can be achieved through:
- Completing CompTIA's Continuing Education (CE) program, where you earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Each certification requires a different amount of CEUs; typically, Security+ requires 50 CEUs.
- Alternatively, passing the latest version of your certification exam or earning a higher-level CompTIA certification.

- EC-Council certifications are generally valid for three years.
- To maintain certification:
- You must earn 120 Continuing Education Credits (ECEs) through EC-Council's Continuing Education Program. This can be achieved via attending training, writing articles, or speaking at events.
- You can also retake the current version of your exam.

- ISACA certifications are valid for three years.
- Renewal involves:
- Earning 20 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits annually, totaling 120 CPE credits over three years. Credits can be earned through various activities like attending workshops, teaching, or publishing.
- Alternatively, you can retake and pass the certification exam.

- PMI certifications require renewal every three years through the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) program.
- You need to:
- Earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for PMP or 15 for CAPM.
- PDUs can be obtained through education, giving back to the profession, or self-directed learning.
