Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certification Training Course
We'll get you ready for the Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder exam, the credential for people who design and build custom apps on Salesforce with declarative tools.
What the App Builder Course Covers
App builders turn business requirements into working apps without writing code. They design data models, build automation, shape the user interface and move changes safely from sandbox to production.
Business Logic and Process Automation is the biggest section at 32%, almost a third of the exam. We spend the most time there, building formulas, validation rules, roll-up summaries and flows until you can pick the right tool fast.
Data Modeling and Management is 20%, Salesforce Fundamentals is 18%, User Interface is 17% and App Deployment is 13%. Each gets hands-on lab time in a Salesforce org, with scenario questions at the end of every module.
The passing score is 73%, a little higher than the admin exam. We train you to read each scenario for the deciding detail, because many answers look right until you notice one requirement.
We're an independent training provider. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by Salesforce, and this isn't official Salesforce training. Salesforce sets the exam content, fees and policies, so check trailhead.salesforce.com before you register.

Where the App Builder Can Take You
App Builder fits Salesforce developer, platform specialist and solution consultant roles where you design apps more than you code them. It pairs well with Platform Administrator, and the two together are a common ask in Salesforce job posts.
It is also a stepping stone. Many people go from App Builder to Platform Developer, or toward architect credentials later on.
For context, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports a May 2025 median annual wage of $105,850 for computer systems analysts. Pay depends on location, experience and the rest of your skill set, so treat that as a reference point, not a promise.
Salesforce Platform Specialist
Design and build custom apps with declarative tools.
Salesforce Administrator
Handle bigger build work beyond daily admin tasks.
Solution Consultant
Scope requirements and show clients what the platform can do.
Business Systems Analyst
Turn process needs into data models and flows.
How We Prepare You for the App Builder
We build one app across the course, starting with the data model and ending with a deployment. That way each section adds to something real, and you see how the pieces affect each other.
Automation gets the most practice. You'll build flows of every kind, compare them with formulas and validation rules, and learn what Salesforce expects you to choose in each scenario.
How long should you study? If you already hold the Platform Administrator credential, plan on our class plus three to five weeks of building. If you're coming in fresh, give it closer to two months and build something real along the way.
You're ready when you can look at a requirement and say which tool fits and why the others don't. That skill matters on the job as much as on the exam, and it's the one we test hardest in class.
Students who pass App Builder often tell us the Flow work was what clicked for them. Once automation makes sense, a lot of other topics fall into place, because so many questions come back to the same choice between a formula, a rule and a flow.
Build One App
A single project that grows through every section.
Automation Labs
Formulas, validation rules and flows built and compared.
Security Model
Profiles, permission sets and sharing applied to your app.
Deployment Practice
Sandboxes, change sets and release planning.
