Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) Certification Training Course
We'll get you ready for Exam DP-600, the Microsoft Fabric credential for analytics engineers who prepare data and build semantic models.
What the DP-600 course covers and who it's for.
Per Microsoft, DP-600 is for people who design, create and manage analytical assets such as semantic models, warehouses and lakehouses, and who query data with SQL, KQL and DAX.
Preparing data is 45 to 50% of the exam, so most of our lab time goes into getting, transforming and querying data in Fabric. We also cover security, deployment pipelines, Direct Lake and DAX performance.
Microsoft says DP-600 candidates prepare and enrich data for analysis, secure and maintain analytics assets, and implement and manage semantic models. You work with architects, analysts, engineers and admins, and you query data with SQL, KQL and DAX.
Fabric puts lakehouses, warehouses and Power BI in one place, and the analytics engineer is the person who ties them together. DP-600 is the credential for that role.

About the DP-600 exam.
DP-600 Exam Readiness
Our students pass at a 98.8% rate across Accumentum courses. We'll get you ready for DP-600 the same way.

Per Microsoft, DP-600 is the exam for Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate. Microsoft lists 100 minutes of exam time for associate exams like this one. You need a score of 700 or greater to pass. Microsoft sets the price by country and shows it on the exam page.
Full details are on the official certification page and the DP-600 study guide.

A closer look at each DP-600 domain.
The course starts with maintaining an analytics solution. Workspace settings, security and governance, version control, deployment pipelines, and managing lifecycle across development, test and production. These skills keep analytics reliable once more than one person touches them.
Preparing data is the biggest domain, so it gets the most time. You'll ingest or access data in Fabric, then select, filter, aggregate and shape it with SQL, KQL and DAX. You'll also decide when to use a lakehouse, a warehouse or an eventhouse.
The semantic model domain covers storage modes including Direct Lake, relationships, DAX measures, calculation groups, field parameters and row level security. We also cover performance work, from faster queries and report visuals to better DAX, and choosing between the two Direct Lake options Microsoft lists.
Throughout the course we connect each skill to what report users see. A well built semantic model loads a report in a second. A poor one can time out.
If you already passed PL-300, DP-600 is the natural next step. It takes the Power BI skills you have and adds the data engineering and modeling work behind them.
Here's how a typical week of class runs. We review the last domain, teach the new skills with live demos, and then you build it yourself in a Fabric workspace. You'll bring data in, shape it with SQL, build a semantic model on top, write the DAX measures, secure it with row level security and deploy it through a pipeline. By the last week you'll have built a small analytics solution end to end, the way an analytics engineer would at work.
We also cover choosing between options, since the exam asks a lot of which one questions. Lakehouse or warehouse, import or Direct Lake, dataflow or notebook. We compare them on cost, speed and who maintains them.
A study plan for DP-600 built from the study guide.
Time follows Microsoft's domain weights, so you study what the exam asks most.
